Ramirez School Counseling Mission Statement
The mission of the school counseling program at Dr. Augustine Ramirez Intermediate is to create a safe and supportive environment to ensure that all students have access to tools and strategies to succeed in the academic, career, and personal/social domains. To accomplish this, school counselors will advocate for students and collaborate with families, school staff, and the local community creating pathways for all students to improve their post-secondary opportunities.
Through a data-driven approach, comprehensive school counselors will work to identify gaps in student achievement, opportunity, and attainment. Once gaps are identified, student needs will be met through school-wide activities, classroom lessons, small group counseling, and brief, solutions-based individual counseling. Each and every student will learn to be part of the PACK: Proactive, Accountable, Community-minded, and Kind thus empowering them to be active contributors to our society.
Ramirez School Counseling Vision Statement:
Dr. Augustine Ramirez Intermediate students are confidently pursuing their goals, equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to successfully contribute to society. They are resilient, socially intelligent, and community-minded.
